For fiscal year 2003, the Office of Fossil Energy was actively involved in more than 900 projects in 46 states and the District of Columbia. The total value over the lifetime of the projects is $6.82 billion with the Department of Energy cost-sharing $2.92 billion, or just over 40% of project costs.
