University Supporting DOE Efforts to Develop Environmental Control Technologies
  • Carbon Foam Heat Exchanger - Ceramic Composites, Inc, Millersville, MD will design and test an air-cooled steam condenser heat exchanger, based upon structurally-enhanced high thermal conductivity carbon foam, which maximizes heat transfer to air with a low pressure drop. DOE is fully funding this project at $750,000.
Government Agency to Compile Data on Petroleum
  • Publication of Thermodynamic Property Measurement - National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD - Unpublished thermodynamic property data for four substances will be compiled, analyzed, and published. The cost of this fully funded DOE project is $140,000.
