Jordan Cove Energy Project, L.P. (Jordan Cove) - FE Dkt. No. 12-32-LNG

The Office of Fossil Energy gives notice of receipt of an application filed on March 23, 2012, by Jordan Cove Energy Project, L.P. (Jordan Cove) for long-term, multi-contract authorization to engage in exports up to the equivalent of 0.8 Bcf/d (approximately 292 Bcf/yr) of LNG. Jordan Cove requests authorization for a 25-year period to commence on the date of first export or 7 years from the date of issuance of the authorization requested by this application, whichever is sooner. Jordan Cove proposes to export LNG from the proposed terminal in Coos Bay, Oregon, to any country with which the United States does not have a free trade agreement requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas and LNG, which has or in the future develops the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier, and with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy.
