Lake Charles LNG Export Company, LLC – FE Dkt. No. 13-04-LNG

The Office of Fossil Energy gives notice of receipt of an Application filed January 10, 2013, by Lake Charles LNG Export Company (Lake Charles), formerly known as Trunkline LNG Export, LLC, seeking a long-term multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) up to the equivalent of 730 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year to Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries and non-FTA (NFTA) countries.  Authorization is for a 25-year period commencing on the earlier of the date of first export or ten years from the date the authorization is issued. Lake Charles proposes to export LNG from the Lake Charles, Louisiana LNG terminal to any country that has, or in the future will have, the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier, with which the United States has, or in the future enters into, an FTA requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas, and also to countries with which the United States does not have a FTA. Order 3252 was issued on 03/07/13. 78 FR 17189 Published Notice.
