Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC - FE Dkt. No. 13-121-LNG

The Office of Fossil Energy gives notice of receipt of an Application filed September 10, 2013, by Sabine Pass Liquefaction, LLC (SPL), seeking long-term multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) in an amount up to the equivalent of 314 billion standard cubic feet (Bcf) of natural gas per year. SPL proposes to export LNG from the liquefaction project currently being developed by SPL and its affiliate, Sabine Pass LNG, L.P., at the existing Sabine Pass LNG import, storage and vaporization terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. SPL requests authorization for a 20-year period commencing on the earlier of the date of first export or eight years from the date the authorization is issued. SPL proposes to export LNG to: (1) any nation that has or in the future develops the capacity to import LNG via ocean-going carrier, with which the United States has, or in the future enters into, an FTA requiring national treatment for trade in natural gas, and (ii) any other country with which trade is not prohibited by U.S. law or policy, and that has, or in the future develops, the capacity to import LNG for a 20-year period.  A federal register notice will be issued for the non-FTA portion of this application.
