Mark Maddox, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy, Announces Resignation

Washington, DC - Mark Maddox, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy, today announced his resignation from the Department of Energy.  Mr. Maddox has served in the Office of Fossil Energy since 2003 and, from March 2004 to September 2004, served concurrently as Acting Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy, assuming the day-to-day responsibilities of the entire Fossil Energy program.  Mr. Maddox will remain in his position until a successor is confirmed.
