The Office of Fossil Energy gives notice of receipt of an Application filed on August 23, 2013, by Advanced Energy Solutions, LLC requesting long-term, multi-contract authorization to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas (LNG) in an amount up to 8 billion cubic feet per year (8,000,000 MMBtu of natural gas equivalent) to any country located within Central America and/or the Caribbean, which has, or in the future develops the capacity to import LNG via approved ISO containers transported on ocean-going carriers, and with which the United States currently has, or in the future will have, a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). AES seeks to export LNG for a 25-year period, commencing on the earlier of the date of first export or four years from the date the requested authorization is granted.
