Company Developing Sensors to Improve Measurement and Monitoring
  • Power Plant Sensor Development - Sensor Research and Development Corporation, Orono, ME, will develop small sensors to identify and measure sulfur oxides (SOx) and NOx emissions from power plants. These new sensors are expected to be robust, inexpensive, and capable of simultaneous measurement of SOx and NOx. These sensors will eventually be integrated with Sensor Research and Development Corporation's ammonia and hydrogen sulfide sensors to achieve a complete flue gas analyzer system. DOE is funding $431,500 toward this $569,000 project.
