The Office of Fossil Energy's Office of Oil and Natural Gas Technology has continued engagements with the countries in West Africa. The President's National Energy Policy recommended that DOE reinvigorate the U.S.-African Ministerial Process. As a result, the Office of Oil and Natural Gas Technology sponsored a panel discussion at the Third U.S.-Africa Energy Ministers meeting in Morocco in June 2002.
